Two Year Old Provision
We provide an excellent start for early learners in the 2 year old provision based within our school. Please visit this link to see if you qualify for 15 hours of free child care through Hackney Education. If you meet the criteria and are eligible you will be issued with a reference number which you can bring to the school office to arrange an admission into this provision.
From April 2024 working families are entitled to 15 hours of free education. Please use this link to apply for the HMRC code or come into the office for support with your application. We look forward to welcoming you into our provision once you have applied for a place below:
Nursery Admissions
Children who are 3 years old are able to make an application to the Nursery in our school. We offer part-time places (afternoon or morning sessions) to all families and full-time places for families entitled to 30 hours of free education or who would like to opt for a full school day for a top-up fee of £100 per week.
Reception Admissions
Each year we have 90 school places for Reception aged children. Applying for a place in our Reception classes should be done using Hackney's admissions procedures.
This year, admission applications are open for children aged 3 and 4 (born between 1st September 2020 and 31st August 2021) who will start reception class at primary school in September 2025. The first round of applications closed on 15th January 2025. Parents who require a place but have not yet applied should contact Hackney's admissions team to apply in the next round of applications.

In-Year Admissions
In-year admissions are applications made for school places after the school year has started. Woodberry Down Primary School is governed by Hackney’s In-Year admission procedures. Applications are processed on a two-weekly cycle.
