We are proud to offer a comprehensive Extended Schools programme, designed to support families and enrich the experiences of our pupils.  This includes a Breakfast Club, After School Activity Clubs and a Playcentre, providing children with a safe, engaging environment beyond school hours.  Our extended services not only help parents manage work and family commitments but also offer children valuable study support, new opportunities and the chance to explore and develop a wide range of interests.

Breakfast Club

Our aim with our Breakfast Club is to provide a healthy breakfast followed by activities that engage pupils to ensure a positive start to their day.

Our Breakfast Club is based on a first come, first served basis and we operate a waiting list.  Breakfast Club is open to all pupils from Reception to Year 6.  Our Breakfast Club starts at 8.00am each morning.

After School Clubs

Each term, we offer a wide variety of clubs for families to choose from, catering to a range of interests.  Our clubs include drama, dance, sports, pottery and more, providing children with the opportunity to explore new activities and develop their skills.  Beyond the activities themselves, children particularly enjoy the social aspect of the clubs, building friendships and being part of a vibrant, engaging community.
We work closely with our providers to ensure children get the best possible experience each week delivered by committed and quality tutors and coaches.  Where possible these tutors and coaches are also supported by existing Woodberry Down staff members.

Clubs run from 3.30pm until 4.45pm (unless stated otherwise). 3.30pm – 3.45pm is snack time; please provide your child with a light, healthy snack.  If your child attends a dance or sports-based club please do send them to school, on the day of their club, in their PE kit.

Our Space Playcentre

Our Space, Woodberry Down’s after school playcentre, offers fantastic and creative play led by a friendly, caring and experienced play team.  Our Space is an affordable opportunity for working or studying parents and their children to enjoy themselves and relax after the school day.

Our emphasis on free play allows children to choose what, how and with whom they want to play.  We offer a wide and diverse range of activities, games and resources which stimulate, encourage and support children in their play. We are dedicated to ensuring children’s safety and happiness as they explore and learn through play.

Our Space is open 3:30pm – 6:00pm every weekday (term time only).

EYFS Wraparound Care

Children in Nursery and Reception can access our WEFS Wraparound Care which is based in the Nursery.  We offer a rich, play based environment, where the children can access all resources freely, both indoors and outdoors.  Before school wraparound costs £5/day and after school care from 3.30pm until 6.30pm costs £10/day.

EYFS Wraparound Care is open 8.00am – 6:00pm every weekday (term time only).
